At Harrods Estates our history is almost as colourful as that of the store itself. The original Harrods Estates was established over 100 years ago and offers a comprehensive range of property services with the highest standards of customer care.
1897
The department begins life tucked away behind Furnishings. Within 11 years it has grown to accommodate over 20 staff.
1919
Harrods Estates takes over new premises opposite the store in 60-64 Brompton Road; premises that included its own auction rooms.
1944
In August a doodlebug flying bomb destroys the department. One day later, Harrods Estates is trading from the store's Wholesale Office in Hans Crescent and over the next 35 years is variously to be found in Basil Street and Park Lane before eventually returning to the store.
1996
The story comes full circle with Harrods Estates occupying the same Brompton Road premises it occupied in 1919. Only the street numbers have changed.
2001
Moved to our first permanent premises at 82 Brompton Road, this provides us with a prime location directly opposite the store.
2005
Due to natural expansion, Harrods Estates opened a second office at 61 Park Lane, Mayfair. This enabled us to expand the geographical area which we cover in order to include Mayfair, Marylebone, Regents Park, St Johns Wood and St James.
